How Do Sparkling Water Machines Work?
As you sip on a tall, refreshing glass of sparkling water, you may wonder how this delightfully bubbly drink is made. This may be especially true if your business serves sparkling water from a commercial sparkling water machine.

Understanding how this fizzy beverage is created will allow you to impart your knowledge to staff, and readily answer customers’ questions about the process you use in your restaurant, bar, hotel, or office.

How is Sparkling Water Made?
Sparkling water machines dispense carbonated water on-demand by mixing carbon dioxide with still, filtered water. Here’s how the process works from beginning to end:

1. Tap water is filtered. A top-of-the-line commercial water filtration system will filter your tap water using two carbon water filters. This process will ensure that the sparkling water you serve is pure, fresh, and free of any contaminants, chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, and other harmful impurities.

2. Water is disinfected. The already filtered tap water will continue on to pass through a NanoCeram filter to provide total irradiation. This step reduces bacteria and virus count in your sparkling water to almost zero.

3. Water is chilled to the perfect temperature. Sparkling water definitely tastes more refreshing when it’s refrigerated! A stainless steel refrigeration chamber will ensure that the sparkling water you pour into every glass stays continuously cool and delicious.

4. The “sparkle” is added. Finally, it’s time to add the bubbles! A carbonation system will mix carbon dioxide with the filtered water which is then pressurized with sensor controls. From there, you and your staff can dispense chilled, sparkling water at a constant temperature and chosen “bubble” intensity.

Filtered Sparkling Water Retains Healthy Minerals
At times, customers may ask for mineral water instead of sparkling water. Mineral water is directly sourced from mineral springs and gets its effervescent quality from naturally-occurring gases. Even so, sparkling water machines can retain beneficial minerals like calcium, zinc, and magnesium to offer customers pure, clean, water with the added health benefit of minerals.

The Link Between Hydration and Gut Health Your gut is at the core of your overall well-being, playing a crucial role in digestion, nutrient absorption, and even immune function. Proper hydration is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system, but not all water is created equal. While sugary sodas and artificial beverages can disrupt gut flora, sparkling filtered water offers a refreshing and beneficial alternative. How Sparkling Filtered Water Supports Digestive Health 1. Aiding Digestion Ever felt bloated or sluggish after a meal? Carbonation in sparkling water can help stimulate digestion by promoting the natural release of digestive enzymes. This mild effervescence can also ease feelings of fullness, making it a great option after a heavy meal. 2. Reducing Bloating and Constipation Filtered sparkling water has been shown to help relieve constipation by improving bowel movements. The gentle bubbles can stimulate peristalsis, the wave-like muscle contractions that move food through your intestines, helping to prevent sluggish digestion. 3. Maintaining a Balanced Microbiome Your gut microbiome thrives when you consume pure, clean water. Many tap and bottled waters contain contaminants, chlorine, and even microplastics that can disrupt gut bacteria. By choosing triple-filtered Natura sparkling water, you’re avoiding these harmful elements and providing your digestive system with a cleaner, healthier hydration source. 4. Alleviating Acid Reflux & Heartburn While unfiltered carbonated drinks can sometimes contribute to acid reflux, water from Natura systems are free from artificial sweeteners and acidity-increasing additives, making it a gentler option. The effervescence can also help clear excess mucus from the esophagus, offering relief from mild reflux symptoms. Why Filtered Water Matters for Gut Health Filtering your water removes impurities such as heavy metals, chlorine, and bacteria, all of which can negatively impact gut health. Sparkling filtered water provides the best of both worlds: a pure, clean hydration source with the digestive benefits of carbonation.
